Before we, DEVI MASSALA introduce you our next product it will be interesting to explore its origin – Meghalaya comprising of pristine land situated in high hilly terrains of one of the four bio-diversities in Himalayas, (around 4500 years ago), and the beautiful natural climatic conditions are a gift to the traditional farmers- natives of Meghalaya in North East region of India.

A small area in this beautiful natural scenery a place famous by name Lakadong is naturally rich in black alluvial soil which is so fertile that it doesn’t need any chemical fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, artificial micronutrients or colors to grow the world’s purest and finest turmeric, known as LAKADONG turmeric. The growth of turmeric is controlled by nature itself after sowing traditional seeds.

It is also known as Meghalaya’s Gold Dust. The turmeric rhizomes are collected and processed at latest state of the art processing plant and turned into super fine turmeric powder which has long life if properly stored in air tight glass container in a cool dry dark place. Direct Sun light exposure to be avoided.

Lakadong Turmeric so obtained is rich in curcumoids and the curcumin content (natural immunity booster) is + of 7.5% and goes upto 12%.
